We started with a competitive audit and a clear strategic conclusion: no one in Colorado Springs was doing world-building. Everyone was selling a drink. We decided to sell a feeling.
Colorful Colorado's brand identity was built around playful, whimsical energy — think Cheshire Cat meets Van Wilder — with a voice that was warm, inclusive, and unapologetically fun. We developed a full brand voice document, directed photo and video shoots to capture the visual identity, and launched integrated campaigns across organic social, paid ads, influencer outreach, and email — all in a coordinated sequence designed to build anticipation before the doors ever opened.
To deepen audience engagement ahead of launch, we rolled out a VIP text program offering early access to events and deals. This created a dedicated inner circle of fans who drove social buzz, repeat visits, and became the seed audience for lookalike and retargeting ad campaigns. Flash deals during slow periods and email "surprise and delight" tactics kept momentum strong week over week.
